What’s going on?

I’m making some changes to the blog!

Please bear with me as I go through some growing pains. I’m playing around with some different themes and settings. Things might look funky around here for a little while.

I am planning to get rid of my EEC Chick FB page. I don’t have the time (or desire) to manage it. I know there are a few people on there who I don’t know in “real” life. Feel free to send a friend request to my personal FB page. Message me and tell me a little about who you are. I’m going to start sharing posts there instead.

You may have noticed I changed the name of the blog to Uncommon Heather. I want to branch out and write about a broader range of topics. I’ll still write about EEC, as it will always be a part of who I am, but I felt like it was time for a change.

  1. Hey, good for you! I hope it wasn’t any of the creepy people you mentioned before causing this… You’re a great writer though so it’ll be interesting to see what happens with your blog now!

    1. Thanks! No, the creeper issue wasn’t it. I really just felt like the EEC title and topic was too limited. I want to work on writing more creatively and not feel like every post has to have some kind of moral or motivational feel to it. I’m going to spread my wings a bit more now.

      And thanks for saying I’m a great writer! I doubt myself way too often. (Which is a topic I’m interested in writing more about too… Hah).

All my life I've considered myself an artist. Give me a pencil and I will sketch. Give me clay and I will shape it into something cool. Now I see that written word is much like working with clay or paint in that I can write, erase and re-write to convey my ideas and feelings, and hopefully, create a work of art.
